<p class="isSelectedEnd"><strong>Scripture Reading:  </strong><em>“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.” - Psalm 27:14</em></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Brothers and sisters in Christ, there are moments in life when we pray, but heaven seems silent.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">We ask God for help, but the answer does not come quickly. We ask for healing, but the pain remains. We ask for peace, but the problem continues. We ask for direction, but the way still seems unclear.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">And sometimes, in the quietness of waiting, the heart begins to ask, “Lord, are You still listening?”</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Maybe you have experienced this. Maybe you are experiencing it now. You have prayed many times. You have cried in secret. You have waited for God to move. But still, the answer seems delayed.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Today, the message of God’s Word reminds us: <strong>God’s silence does not mean God’s absence.</strong></p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The Lord may seem silent, but He is still present. He may not answer according to our schedule, but He is never late. He may not work in the way we expect, but He is always working according to His perfect will.</p>
<h2>I. WAITING TESTS OUR FAITH</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Waiting is one of the hardest parts of the Christian life. It is easier to believe when prayers are answered quickly. It is easier to trust when blessings are visible. It is easier to praise when life is peaceful.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">But what happens when God says, “Wait”?</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.”</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The Bible does not say waiting will always be easy. But it tells us that while we wait, God strengthens the heart.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Waiting reveals what is inside us. It reveals whether our faith depends only on immediate answers or on the character of God. It reveals whether we trust God only when life is comfortable or even when life is uncertain.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Brothers and sisters, faith is not proven only when we receive what we ask for. Faith is also proven when we continue trusting God even when the answer has not yet come.</p>
<h2>II. GOD IS WORKING EVEN WHEN WE CANNOT SEE IT</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Sometimes we think that if we cannot see anything happening, then nothing is happening. But God works in ways that our eyes cannot always see.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">A seed under the ground seems silent, but growth is happening. A child in the womb is hidden, but life is forming. The night may be dark, but morning is already coming.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">In the same way, when God seems silent, He may be preparing something we cannot yet understand.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Abraham waited for the promised son. Joseph waited in prison before becoming a ruler in Egypt. Moses waited in the wilderness before leading Israel. David waited before becoming king. The disciples waited for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Their waiting was not wasted. God was preparing them.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Sometimes God delays the answer because He is preparing the blessing. Sometimes He delays the answer because He is preparing the situation. And sometimes He delays the answer because He is preparing us.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">We may be asking God to change our circumstances, but God may first be changing our hearts.</p>
<h2>III. SILENCE CAN LEAD US CLOSER TO GOD</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">When everything is easy, we may forget how much we need God. But when life becomes difficult, prayer becomes deeper. Faith becomes more serious. Worship becomes more meaningful.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Sometimes silence becomes a classroom. In that classroom, God teaches patience, humility, surrender, and trust.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">It is in the waiting season that we learn to say, “Lord, I do not understand, but I still trust You.”</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">It is in the waiting season that we learn to depend not on feelings, but on God’s promises.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Notice that the promise is not only that God will remove every burden immediately. The promise is that He will renew our strength.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Sometimes God calms the storm. Sometimes God strengthens His child inside the storm.</p>
<h2>IV. WE ARE A WAITING PEOPLE</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">As Seventh-day Adventist Christians, we understand waiting in a very special way. We are waiting for the soon return of Jesus Christ.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">But our waiting should not be careless. Our waiting should not be lazy. Our waiting should not make us discouraged.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">While we wait, we pray.<br />
While we wait, we serve.<br />
While we wait, we obey.<br />
While we wait, we share the gospel.<br />
While we wait, we keep the faith of Jesus.<br />
While we wait, we prepare our hearts for His coming.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The delay of Christ’s return is not a reason to lose hope. It is a call to be faithful.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">2 Peter 3:9 reminds us that the Lord is not slack concerning His promise, but is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish. God’s waiting is connected to His mercy. He is giving people more time to repent, more time to hear the gospel, and more time to come to Jesus.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">So while we wait for answered prayers, and while we wait for the coming of Jesus, we must remain faithful.</p>
<h2>V. JESUS IS OUR GREATEST ASSURANCE</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">When we are tempted to think that God has forgotten us, we must look at the cross.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The cross is the greatest proof that God loves us. Jesus suffered for us. Jesus died for us. Jesus gave His life to save us.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">If God gave His Son for our salvation, we can trust Him with our unanswered prayers. We can trust Him with our future. We can trust Him with our families. We can trust Him with our pain.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">God may not always explain why we must wait, but He has already shown that He cares.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">When God seems silent, remember Jesus.<br />
When the answer is delayed, remember Jesus.<br />
When your heart is tired, remember Jesus.<br />
When your faith is weak, remember Jesus.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">He is still our Savior.<br />
He is still our Mediator.<br />
He is still our coming King.</p>
<h2>APPEAL</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Brothers and sisters, maybe today you are waiting for something.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">You may be waiting for healing.<br />
You may be waiting for peace.<br />
You may be waiting for direction.<br />
You may be waiting for forgiveness.<br />
You may be waiting for reconciliation.<br />
You may be waiting for provision.<br />
You may be waiting for a burden to be lifted.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Do not give up.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">God sees your tears. God hears your prayers. God knows your struggles. God understands your pain. And even when you cannot see His hand, you can trust His heart.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">The silence of God is not the absence of God. The delay of God is not the denial of God. The waiting season is not wasted when your heart remains with Him.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">So today, let us choose to wait with faith. Let us wait with courage. Let us wait with prayer. Let us wait with obedience. Let us wait with hope.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Because one day, the waiting will end.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">One day, Jesus will come again. One day, every tear will be wiped away. One day, pain will be gone. One day, questions will be answered. One day, faith will become sight.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Until that day, let us hold on to Jesus.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">God is never late.<br />
God is never absent.<br />
God is never unfaithful.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">He is working, even in the waiting.</p>
<h2>PRAYER</h2>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Our loving Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding us that even when You seem silent, You are still near. Help us to trust You when answers are delayed. Strengthen our hearts while we wait. Teach us patience, humility, and faith.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">Lord, forgive us for the times we doubted Your love. Help us to remember that You are working even when we cannot see it. Keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, and prepare our hearts for His soon return.</p>
<p class="isSelectedEnd">May we wait with courage, serve with love, and live with hope until the day Jesus comes again.</p>
<p>In Jesus’ name, Amen.</p>

<p>Dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, I want to speak to you about a powerful emotion that can damage our relationship with God and with one another: envy. Envy is a destructive force that can eat away our hearts and souls, but through God's grace and guidance, we can overcome it and strengthen our connection with Him.</p>
<p>I. The Destructive Power of Envy Envy is a feeling of discontent and resentment when we see others blessed with something we desire. It can manifest in various forms: jealousy, covetousness, and even bitterness. Envy not only damages our relationships with others but also hinders our spiritual growth and our relationship with God. Let's explore how envy can affect our lives:</p>
<ol>
	<li>Envy breeds bitterness: When we envy others, it often leads to bitterness and resentment. This bitterness can poison our hearts, making it difficult to experience God's love and peace.</li>
	<li>Envy disrupts unity: Envy can create division within families, communities, and even churches. It erodes the sense of unity and fellowship that God desires for His people.</li>
	<li>Envy blinds us to God's blessings: When we focus on what others have, we become blind to the blessings God has bestowed upon us. This ingratitude can damage our relationship with Him.</li>
</ol>
<p>II. Overcoming Envy through God's Word Thankfully, God's Word provides us with guidance on how to overcome envy and restore our relationship with Him:</p>
<ol>
	<li>Cultivate gratitude: The antidote to envy is gratitude. We must learn to count our blessings and acknowledge the good things that God has given us. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, we are reminded to "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."</li>
	<li>Focus on eternal treasures: Instead of coveting earthly possessions, we should set our hearts on eternal treasures. Jesus taught in Matthew 6:19-20, "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth... But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven."</li>
	<li>Rejoice with others: The Bible encourages us to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15). By celebrating the blessings of others, we can combat envy and strengthen our relationships.</li>
</ol>
<p>III. Prayer and Seeking God's Grace Ultimately, overcoming envy requires us to turn to God in prayer and seek His grace. We must ask for His help in transforming our hearts and minds.</p>
<ol>
	<li>Prayer for a transformed heart: In Psalm 51:10, David prayed, "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." Let us pray for God to purify our hearts and remove envy from within.</li>
	<li>Seek God's guidance: Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. When we seek God's guidance, He will show us the way to overcome envy.</li>
</ol>
<p>In conclusion, envy is a destructive force that can damage our relationships, both with others and with God. However, through gratitude, a focus on eternal treasures, and a commitment to rejoicing with others, we can overcome envy. By turning to God in prayer and seeking His grace, we can transform our hearts and nurture a deeper relationship with Him. Let us remember the words of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." With His strength, we can overcome envy and grow closer to our loving and gracious God. Amen.</p>

<p>Good day, dear brothers and sisters in Christ. Today, we gather here to discuss a topic that touches the lives of many in our congregation and beyond. It is a topic that can bring pain, confusion, and heartache to those who have experienced it, and it is a subject that demands our careful consideration as Seventh-day Adventist Christians. Our topic today is divorce.</p>
<h4>I. The Sanctity of Marriage:</h4>
<p>Before delving into the complexities of divorce, let us first remind ourselves of the divine institution of marriage. God, in His wisdom, created marriage to be a sacred covenant between a man and a woman. In the book of Genesis, we read, <em>"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24 ESV)</em>.</p>
<p>Marriage is intended to be a reflection of God's love for His people, the church. It is a bond that is meant to be unbreakable, a union built on love, trust, and commitment. As Seventh-day Adventists, we believe in upholding the sanctity of marriage and promoting strong, healthy relationships within our families.</p>

<p>Despite our best intentions, we must acknowledge the painful reality that marriages sometimes face insurmountable challenges. There are times when couples find themselves in situations of deep conflict, abuse, or unfaithfulness. In such circumstances, the question of divorce inevitably arises.</p>
<h4>IV. Divorce in Adventist Teaching:</h4>
<p>Seventh-day Adventists approach the issue of divorce with great care and in accordance with biblical principles. We believe that divorce should not be taken lightly, as it can have far-reaching consequences for individuals, families, and the church. However, we also recognize that the Bible permits divorce in certain circumstances.</p>
<h5>1. Grounds for Divorce:</h5>
<p>The Bible provides two specific grounds for divorce:</p>
<ol class="pl-12" type="a">
	<li><strong>Sexual Immorality:</strong> In Matthew 5:32, Jesus stated, <em>"But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery, and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery" (ESV)</em>. This exception acknowledges that infidelity can rupture the marital covenant.</li>
	<li><strong>Desertion by an Unbelieving Spouse:</strong> The Apostle Paul, in 1 Corinthians 7:15, writes, <em>"But if the unbelieving partner separates, let it be so. In such cases, the brother or sister is not enslaved. God has called you to peace" (ESV)</em>. This passage recognizes that a believer may find themselves in a marriage where their unbelieving spouse chooses to leave, and in such cases, the believer is not bound to continue the marriage.</li>
</ol>
<h5>2. Reconciliation and Forgiveness:</h5>
<p>While divorce may be allowed under certain circumstances, it should always be viewed as a last resort. As Christians, we are called to seek reconciliation whenever possible, to extend forgiveness, and to work towards healing within our marriages.</p>
<h4>V. Pastoral Care and Support:</h4>
<p>For those among us who have experienced divorce, or those who may be facing this difficult decision, our church is here to offer pastoral care, support, and guidance. It is crucial that we, as a community of faith, approach individuals who have gone through divorce with love and compassion, helping them heal and grow in their relationship with God.</p>
<p>In conclusion, divorce is a deeply challenging and sensitive issue that must be approached with grace, humility, and a commitment to upholding the sanctity of marriage. As Seventh-day Adventists, we are called to follow the teachings of Christ and the principles found in Scripture while offering support and understanding to those who are navigating the stormy waters of divorce. May we continually seek God's wisdom and guidance in our marriages, and may His love and grace shine through us as we minister to those affected by divorce in our congregation and beyond.</p>

<p>Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, today I will deliver this message to reflect on a powerful lesson from the Bible, a lesson about faith, obedience, and the consequences of our actions. Our sermon is titled "Speak to the Rock," and it revolves around the story of Moses striking the rock. This story can be found in the book of Numbers, chapter 20, verses 7-12. Let's turn to those verses now and read them together.</p>
<blockquote>Numbers 20:7-12 (NIV):<br />
*"The Lord said to Moses, 'Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes, and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.' So Moses took the staff from the Lord's presence, just as he commanded him. He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock, and Moses said to them, 'Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?' Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. But the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, 'Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.'"</blockquote>
<h4>I. The Rock as a Symbol:</h4>
<p>In this passage, the rock serves as a powerful symbol. It represents not only the physical needs of the Israelites but also our spiritual needs and God's faithfulness. In the same way, Jesus is often referred to as the "Rock" in the New Testament, our foundation and the source of living water for our souls.</p>
<h4>II. The Command to Speak:</h4>
<p>God instructed Moses to "speak to the rock." He didn't tell him to strike it. This is a vital lesson for us. God's commands are not arbitrary; they have a purpose. Speaking to the rock symbolizes prayer, faith, and trust in God's provision. It reminds us that in our times of need, we should turn to God in faith, believing that He will provide for us.</p>
<p>Psalm 19:14 (NIV):<br />
"May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer."</p>
<h4>III. Moses' Mistake:</h4>
<p>Moses, however, made a crucial mistake. He allowed frustration and anger to cloud his judgment. Instead of speaking to the rock as God commanded, he struck it twice with his staff. This act of disobedience had consequences. It cost Moses the privilege of entering the Promised Land.</p>
<p>Hebrews 3:15 (NIV):<br />
"As has just been said: 'Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion.'"</p>
<h4>IV. Lessons for Us:</h4>
<p>What can we learn from Moses' mistake?</p>
<ol>
	<li><strong>Obedience Matters:</strong> God's commands are meant for our good. Obedience, even in seemingly small matters, is essential in our walk with Him.<br />

1 Samuel 15:22 (NIV):<br />
"But Samuel replied: 'Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.'"</li>
	<li><strong>Faith Over Anger:</strong> When we face trials or frustrations, we must remember to turn to God in faith rather than reacting out of anger or impatience.<br />
<br />
James 1:19-20 (NIV):<br />
"My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."</li>
	<li><strong>God's Faithfulness:</strong> Despite Moses' mistake, God still provided water for His people. Our heavenly Father is gracious and merciful, always providing for our needs.<br />
<br />
Philippians 4:19 (NIV):<br />
"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus."</li>
</ol>
<h4>Conclusion:</h4>
<p>Dear brothers and sisters, the story of Moses striking the rock teaches us the importance of faith, obedience, and trust in God's provision. We must remember to "speak to the rock" in our lives, trusting that God will meet our needs in His perfect way and timing. Let us strive to be obedient to His commands and always give Him the glory for the blessings He provides. <p>David's story began in the shadows of addiction and despair. Lost in the grip of substance abuse, his life spiraled into chaos. His relationships shattered, his dreams crumbled, and his sense of self-worth evaporated. Each day seemed darker than the last, and he felt utterly isolated from God's love.</p>
